Fall 2009, second blog posting

We finally have more time for the blog now that the season is winding down. Our intention is to now post retroactively the events of the summer as well as upcoming events for 2010. Wilma, workamper for the summer, is instrumental in getting the blog published and has helped me so much. Most of the pictures for the blog have been taken by Weldon (Wilma's workamper husband).

Last June, we dedicated a temporary smaller flag pole at Ethel's 90th birthday celebration and Campbell/Poma family reunion with completion of the permanent 30' one on July 12, 2009.

These pictures are from the day the United States Flag was first flown on the new flagpole.

Ranch owner, Ethel Poma

Karen's mom, Ethel, 91 years of age, recently spent four days at the Ranch and loved it so much it made her feel better for a whole week.

V.A. Poma Ranch is now a member of the local Weminuche Audubon Chapter. We hosted 24 birders with a breakfast last Saturday, July 24, with an inauguration of our first two of four birding trails. Photo courtesy of Samuel Mallory, guest at V.A. Poma Ranch in July

Ranch House at Night after a summer rain

We had abundant Spring Rains and now the afternoon showers continue in July and August. The foliage is so verdant and abundant this year.
